Part 1Executive Summary
The most important points:
- The searcher wants to type a username and get a verdict now. Every tool that ranks puts the box at the top of the page; the page we build does the same, and takes one or many usernames because the marketer who will become a customer checks accounts in batches.
- A verdict alone does not finish the search. The questions people also ask and the related searches are almost all about what comes after: what a shadowban looks like, how long it lasts, whether it is permanent, how to remove it, the appeal link, a sample appeal. The strongest tool page (redship.io, rank 3) wins over the bare tools because it answers those in a compact guide under the box. Our page carries that guide, and carries two things the tool pages leave open that the Reddit threads show people need: the look-alikes (karma filters, AutoMod, a single removed post) and how to read a clean result when posts still disappear.
- Every ranking tool reads Reddit's public profile as a logged-out visitor and nothing more. That is also the manual test, and the page says so; the searcher burned by r/ShadowBan going read-only and by tools that disagree wants to know the check is the real one and needs no login.
- The site sells accounts. The page never tells a shadowbanned user to buy one to get around it; the ranking pages are unanimous that this is ban evasion and the page says the same. The commercial lean sits where it is honest: the marketer running or buying several accounts checks them here, learns that aged accounts with real history are the ones the spam filter leaves alone, and finds the site's accounts one click away.
- Length: about one thousand three hundred words of passages, in line with redship.io and banchecker.org and far below redditapis.com's API-heavy page. No collapsed FAQ: three of the five tool pages hide their answers in accordions, and those passages resolve nothing on view.
Part 2SERP & Lane Analysis
The results page is split between two kinds of result doing two different jobs. Five pages are free tools where you enter a username and get a verdict, hosted by a hobbyist (ayra.ch, rank 1), two Reddit-marketing SaaS products (redship.io, rank 3; redditgrow.ai, rank 5), an API vendor (redditapis.com, rank 7) and a multi-platform checker suite (banchecker.org, rank 8). Four are Reddit itself: the r/ShadowBan hub (rank 2), a post in that sub announcing yet another free tool (rank 4), and two r/NewToReddit threads (ranks 6 and 9) where new users ask how to check now that the old bot method is gone and get told about the appeals page, the logged-out profile test, and that their real problem is low karma. Google is filling the set: the tools give the verdict, and the threads give the methods, the reassurance and the false-alarm cases that the bare tools do not.
Inside the tool lane there are two shapes. ayra.ch and redditgrow.ai are a box and nothing else (redditgrow's FAQ is collapsed). redship.io, redditapis.com and banchecker.org are a box followed by a guide: what a shadowban is, how to check by hand, why it happens, how long it lasts, how to appeal. The guide shape is the one that holds its rank on a page that is not the oldest tool on the web (ayra.ch has ranked since 2018).
Lane Distribution table
| Lane | Count | Typical Positions | Representative Competitors | What this lane is doing for the searcher |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free checker tool with a guide (provider) | 3 | 3, 7, 8 | redship.io, redditapis.com, banchecker.org | Gives the verdict in the box, then tells the searcher what it means, how to confirm it by hand, why it happened and how to appeal |
| Free checker tool, bare (provider) | 2 | 1, 5 | cable.ayra.ch, redditgrow.ai | Gives the verdict and nothing else; ranks on age or on the site's strength |
| Community help thread (educational) | 4 | 2, 4, 6, 9 | r/ShadowBan, r/NewToReddit threads | Shows the manual methods (appeals page, logged-out profile, Google in incognito), the look-alike cases (low karma), the unban timelines, and the confusion between ban types |
Rank 4 is an edge case: a Reddit post inside the community lane whose only content is a link to a tool and a "no login, instant, any username" list. It belongs with the threads in shape and with the tools in purpose.
The page's lane: the page is a provider page and is built in the "free checker tool with a guide" lane. The bare tool shape ranks only for the tool that has been there since 2018 and for a site with product strength behind it; our site has neither on day one. The guide shape is where a new tool page earns its place, and it is the shape that resolves the questions the related searches and people-also-ask show the searcher carries past the verdict.
Full SERP table
| Position | Competitor | Full URL | Lane | Job on the SERP | Relevance to the page build |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | cable.ayra.ch | cable.ayra.ch/reddit/ | Free checker tool, bare | A username box, a captcha and a Check button; bulk check only with a token that is no longer sold | Direct same-lane competitor; shows the minimum the searcher expects (box, no login) and a bulk-check demand it can no longer serve |
| 2 | r/ShadowBan | reddit.com/r/ShadowBan/ | Community help thread | The old crowdsourced check; now a listing of "am I shadowbanned" posts, unban success stories after months, cause posts, confusion over ban types | Cross-lane; explains why people search for a checker at all and what they ask after the verdict; does not drive the build |
| 3 | redship.io | redship.io/free-tools/reddit-shadowban-checker | Free checker tool with a guide | Box, then what a shadowban is, how to check (tool, by hand, single post), shadowban or something else, why, how long, appeal, avoid; product promos | The direct model: the best-resolved guide on the page, with the look-alike cases and the appeal steps |
| 4 | r/ShadowBan post | reddit.com/r/ShadowBan/comments/1obcxg9/i_built_a_free_shadowban_checker_tool_for_the/ | Community help thread (tool announcement) | A member announces a free tool: no login, instant, any username, captcha | Adjacent; shows the trust features a tool page should state in words |
| 5 | redditgrow.ai | redditgrow.ai/tools/shadowban-checker | Free checker tool, bare | Box that compares public and logged-in visibility; collapsed FAQ | Direct same-lane; shows that a three-way verdict (shadowbanned, suspended, good standing) is expected |
| 6 | r/NewToReddit thread | reddit.com/r/NewToReddit/comments/15xaswl/how_do_i_check_shadow_ban_now/ | Community help thread | "How do I check now that r/ShadowBan is read-only": appeals page, greyed-out page means all clear, logged-out profile, Google in incognito, a profile visible on Google but not in Reddit search | Adjacent; the manual methods and how to read them, which the page carries as the way to confirm the tool |
| 7 | redditapis.com | redditapis.com/reddit-shadowban-checker | Free checker tool with a guide | Box, how the check works (public profile, logged out), shadowban vs single removed post, status field, bulk checks via paid API, collapsed FAQ, a grid of API pages | Direct same-lane; the clearest account of how a checker works and its limits (not found also means deleted or never existed); the API detail is its own product and not ours |
| 8 | banchecker.org | banchecker.org/ | Free checker tool with a guide | Box taking one username per line, three steps, what a shadowban means, telltale signs, triggers, what to do, visible FAQ (free and safe, accuracy, next step, how long, VPN), other platforms' checkers | Direct same-lane; the bulk box, the visible FAQ and the VPN answer |
| 9 | r/NewToReddit thread | reddit.com/r/NewToReddit/comments/1pdga9h/am_i_shadowbanned_not_sure_how_to_check/ | Community help thread | A new user asks; replies: you are not shadowbanned, check via the appeals page, you have almost no karma, here are the new-account limits | Adjacent; the false-alarm case the tools do not cover |
Direct competitors table
| Position | Competitor | Lane | Why they matter |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 | redship.io | Tool with a guide | The page to beat on resolution: every post-verdict question answered in a paragraph, the look-alike list, the appeal steps with the ban-evasion warning |
| 8 | banchecker.org | Tool with a guide | Bulk box, three-step how-to, visible FAQ with the safe/free, accuracy, VPN and next-step answers |
| 7 | redditapis.com | Tool with a guide | How the check works and where it cannot tell (not found vs deleted vs never existed; a removed post still loads for its author) |
| 1 | cable.ayra.ch | Bare tool | The incumbent; proves the search is satisfied by a box first, and shows bulk checking as an unmet demand |
| 5 | redditgrow.ai | Bare tool | Three-way verdict; everything else collapsed, which is why it sits below redship.io on a comparable site |
| 6 | r/NewToReddit thread | Community (borrow) | The appeals-page check and what a clean result looks like; the Google-in-incognito check |
| 9 | r/NewToReddit thread | Community (borrow) | Low karma and new-account limits as the usual reason a new user's posts vanish |
What this means for the page
The dominant lane is the free tool, and the dominant shape within it is a box followed by a compact guide. The results page is mixed, but not because searchers want two kinds of page: the threads rank because they carry what the tools leave open. A tool page that carries the manual check, the appeals-page check, the look-alike cases and the appeal itself leaves the threads less to cover and sits closest to the whole.
The adjacent lane also shows the searcher's state of mind: they have used a checker before (or the old sub) and are not sure which one to believe, and several have symptoms that are not a shadowban at all. The page borrows from the threads the thing the tools do not say: how to confirm the verdict yourself, and what else makes posts disappear.
For the site, the page is the free tool that brings the account buyer in. The marketer who checks accounts before buying or before a campaign is the searcher the two SaaS tools (redship.io, redditgrow.ai) are built for, and the one our site's offer fits best. The page serves them in the bulk box and in one short part for people running several accounts, and otherwise reads as the honest guide the ordinary user needs.
Part 3Head Keyword & Tail Keyword Clusters
Head term
- Head: reddit shadowban checker
- Dominant lane: free checker tool with a guide. The head wants a box at the top and plain answers under it; a page of answers without the box is in the wrong lane.
- SERP intent shape: provider-dominant (five of nine results are tools), with an educational secondary intent carried by the threads and by the guides under the tools.
The head family
- reddit shadowban checker: the head; the title of four of the five tools.
- reddit shadow ban checker: the same words with the space; banchecker.org's title. An alias.
- reddit shadowban tester: cable.ayra.ch's name for the exact same tool; "tester" and "checker" are the same thing in plain language. An alias.
- reddit shadowban checker free: a related search; every tool on the page is free, so "free" changes nothing about what the searcher wants. Used as a name in the title.
Research listed "reddit shadowban check" with the tails. It stays a tail: the searcher may want the action rather than a tool, and the tool passage resolves it either way, so nothing is lost by keeping it off the headings.
The head's searcher intent
The person who types this has a Reddit account that feels broken. Posts sit at one upvote with no replies, comments draw nothing, or a friend says they cannot see their profile. Some have been through this before and know the word "shadowban"; some have just learned it from a thread. They want a tool: a box to type a username into, a free verdict in seconds, no login and no password, because handing a login to a stranger's site is the first thing they will not do. A smaller group is not checking their own account. Moderators check a user whose posts keep landing in spam, people check an account that vanished, and marketers and account buyers check the accounts they post from or are about to pay for, often many at a time.
The verdict is the start, not the end. They need to know what the result means: whether "not found" is a shadowban or a typo or a deleted account, and how a suspension differs. If the tool says clean and their posts still vanish, they need the other explanations: a new account under a subreddit's karma or age minimum, AutoMod, a spam filter on one post, a subreddit ban. If it says shadowbanned, they need the next step: how long it lasts, whether it is permanent, the appeal link, what to write, and the warning that making a new account to get around it gets that one suspended too. They also want to be able to confirm the verdict themselves, with the logged-out profile test and the appeals page, because tools disagree and the old subreddit went read-only.
They do not come for a full guide to Reddit marketing, for an API to automate checks, for a course on building karma, for checkers of other platforms, or for any tool vendor's product pitch. Those are near this search, and some are heads of their own, but a passage on them here pulls the page away from the verdict and its consequences.

Part 4The Centroid Pattern
Pattern summary
The strongest pages are a box and a guide. The box is first, above anything else, takes a username with or without the u/ prefix, needs no login, and returns a verdict that separates visible from shadowbanned from suspended. The guide under it answers, in order, what the searcher asks once they have a verdict: what a shadowban is, how to confirm it by hand, what else looks like one, why it happens, how long it lasts, how to appeal. redship.io does this in a few hundred words per part and ranks third against a tool that has existed since 2018; redditgrow.ai has the box and collapses everything else, and sits fifth on a comparable site.
What makes the pattern strong is that it resolves the whole search in one visit. The threads rank because they carry the manual checks and the false alarms; a tool page that carries them too leaves the searcher no reason to go back to the results. The pages that rank lower in the tool lane either stop at the box (ayra, redditgrow) or fill the guide with their own product (redditapis's API pricing and page grid, redship's promo cards).
Lane contribution to the winning pattern
The tool lane contributes the box, the no-login and public-data trust statements, the three-way verdict, the "what is it" paragraph, the causes list and the appeal steps. The community lane contributes what the page borrows: the appeals-page check and what a clean result looks like (thread 6), the Google-in-incognito check and the profile-visible-but-not-in-search confusion (thread 6), the low-karma false alarm and new-account limits (thread 9), and the lived timelines of unbans taking months (r/ShadowBan). The page borrows these as short passages in the confirm-it-yourself and look-alikes parts, not as threads.
Pattern variance
The tool lane is tightly clustered in shape and loosely clustered in depth. Three pages carry the guide and two do not; among the three, redship.io is the most complete on the questions searchers actually ask, redditapis.com drifts into API detail, banchecker.org is the most generous on trust (free, safe, accuracy, VPN) and the only one with a bulk box. The page we build follows the box-plus-guide shape closely and takes the best part from each: redship's look-alikes and appeal, banchecker's bulk box and trust answers, redditapis's honesty about what not-found can mean, and the threads' appeals-page check and karma false alarm.
What's notably absent
- No ranking tool page explains a clean result when posts still disappear in one subreddit; redship comes closest with its look-alike list.
- No page carries the appeals-page check or what a greyed-out appeals page means; only thread 6 does.
- No page gives a sample appeal, though "reddit shadowban appeal sample" is a related search.
- No page states in words that checking a username cannot affect that account, beyond banchecker's "like a browser would".
- Collapsed FAQs are common and resolve nothing on view; the top page's body passages are what resolve.
- Nobody sells an account as the fix; every page that mentions a new account warns it is ban evasion.
Direct same-lane breakdown
| Competitor | Rank | Pattern notes |
|---|---|---|
| cable.ayra.ch | 1 | Box, captcha, button; bulk only with a token no longer sold; a copyright line. Ranks on age; resolves nothing past the verdict |
| redship.io | 3 | Box with a three-way verdict; promo card; what is, how to check (checker, by hand, single post), shadowban or something else, why, how long, appeal, avoid; collapsed FAQ repeating the body; related tools; product block. The resolution model |
| redditgrow.ai | 5 | Box that compares public and logged-in visibility; six collapsed FAQs, one a product pitch. Shape without substance |
| redditapis.com | 7 | Answer box, pills (free, no login, no API key, public data, instant), box, disclaimer on not-found; what is; how the check works; account vs removed post; status field; bulk via paid API; collapsed FAQ; a grid of forty API pages. Honest on method, heavy on its own product |
| banchecker.org | 8 | Box with one username per line; three steps; what shadowban means; telltale signs; triggers; what to do; visible FAQ (free and safe, accuracy, next step, how long, VPN); other platforms; about. Strong on trust and bulk, weaker on look-alikes |
Part 5Reader Situations
Checking my own account right now
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Evidence | Every tool snippet ("Enter any username"); the r/ShadowBan cluster of "Am I shadowbanned?" posts (rank 2); thread 9's "not sure how to check"; PAA "How do I know if I am shadowbanned on Reddit?"; tails "am i shadowbanned on reddit", "reddit shadowban check" |
| Why this is a distinct situation | It is the primary job of the page: a verdict on one account, now, with no login. Everything else on the page follows from the verdict |
| What this reader is trying to resolve | Posts stuck at one upvote, comments with no replies. They want a yes or no that matches what they would see opening their profile in a private window, and a plain sentence on what the result means |
Knowledge level: low to medium; many just learned the word. Top objection: giving a login to a third-party site. Urgency: high.
Which checker can I trust now that the old way is gone
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Evidence | Thread 6 ("Now that r/ShadowBan has been shut down... how am I supposed to check"); ayra's "Have a token?" and the token no longer sold; five tools giving different verdict labels; tails "how does reddit shadowban checker work", "is reddit shadowban checker safe", "how accurate" |
| Why this is a distinct situation | This reader has a verdict from somewhere and does not believe it. They need the method behind the check and a way to confirm it themselves, not just another box |
| What this reader is trying to resolve | Whether this tool runs the real test (the logged-out profile view), whether a not-found result could be wrong, and how to confirm with the appeals page or a private window |
Top objection: tools disagree. Alternatives weighed: doing it by hand.
Is this even a shadowban?
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Evidence | PAA "What does a shadowban on Reddit look like?"; r/ShadowBan's confusion posts ("Am I permanently banned or just shadow banned?", "banned despite being able to comment"); redship's "Shadowban or something else?"; thread 9's "you have almost no karma"; tails on suspension, subreddit ban, removed post, karma restrictions |
| Why this is a distinct situation | Many readers have symptoms that are not a shadowban: a subreddit's karma or age minimum, AutoMod, a spam filter on one post, a subreddit ban, a suspension. The verdict alone does not sort them |
| What this reader is trying to resolve | Which of the look-alikes they have, and therefore who can fix it: Reddit admins, a subreddit's moderators, or time and karma |
Checker says clean, posts still vanish
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Evidence | redship's "For a single post" and "If only one community swallows your content, it is almost never a shadowban"; redditapis's "A clean result here means your account is visible. It does not mean every post you made is"; thread 6's profile visible on Google but not in Reddit search |
| Why this is a distinct situation | The tool has already answered and the reader is still stuck. They need the post-level test and the subreddit-level explanations, which no bare tool gives |
| What this reader is trying to resolve | Whether a specific post or comment is hidden, and why one subreddit hides them when the account is fine |
I'm shadowbanned, how do I get it removed
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Evidence | PAA "How long do Reddit shadowbans last?" and "How to remove shadow ban on Reddit?"; related searches on appeal, appeal link, appeal sample, permanent, how to remove; r/ShadowBan's unban stories after months; redship's and banchecker's appeal passages with the ban-evasion warning |
| Why this is a distinct situation | The verdict is positive and the reader needs a path, not a definition. The related searches show this is the largest cluster of follow-up queries |
| What this reader is trying to resolve | How long it lasts, whether it is permanent, the appeal link, what to write, what to expect while waiting, and why a new account is the wrong move |
Top objection: "appealing alone didn't do it" (r/ShadowBan). Urgency: high.
Checking someone else's username
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Evidence | "Enter any username" on every tool; ayra's "check individual accounts"; related search "Reddit account Checker"; redditapis naming moderators among bulk users |
| Why this is a distinct situation | The reader is not the account holder. A moderator wants to know whether a user whose posts hit spam is shadowbanned and what to tell them; a friend wants to know whether an account vanished or was deleted |
| What this reader is trying to resolve | Whether the username is visible, shadowbanned, suspended or gone, given that the last three can look alike from outside |
Running or buying several accounts
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Evidence | redship.io and redditgrow.ai (Reddit marketing products) ranking with tools; redditapis's "agencies, moderators and anyone running several accounts"; banchecker's one-username-per-line box; ayra's dead token bulk check; related search "Reddit account Checker"; the site's own buyers |
| Why this is a distinct situation | This reader checks accounts routinely, before a campaign, after a promo flops, or before paying for an aged account. They need bulk, speed, reassurance that checking leaves no trace on the account, and a verdict that splits shadowbanned from suspended from healthy |
| What this reader is trying to resolve | Which of their accounts are safe to post from, which to drop, and whether an account they are about to buy is clean |
Top objection: that running a check flags the account. Alternatives weighed: paid API tools. This is the reader the site's offer fits.
Part 6Page Charter
| Field | Detail |
|---|---|
| Target lane | Free checker tool with a guide |
| The site | A provider site selling Reddit accounts and engagement services. Its authority is account health: it lives on whether accounts are visible, aged and safe to post from. That makes a shadowban checker a native free tool rather than a bolt-on, and it makes the marketer and account buyer the reader the page converts. It also sets a hard line: the page never offers an account as the way around a shadowban, because every ranking page calls that ban evasion and the site's credibility on account health depends on saying the same |
| Intent profile | Primary: check a username for a shadowban, free, instantly, without a login. Secondary: understand the verdict, confirm it by hand, rule out the look-alikes, and appeal if it is real. Tertiary, for the marketer: check many accounts at once and check before buying |
| Page job | Give a verdict on any Reddit username in seconds, tell the reader exactly what it means and what to do next, and let the person running several accounts check them all here |
| Positioning frame | The checker built by people whose business is account health: the same test a logged-out visitor runs, explained plainly, with the honest limits of the method and the honest answer on appeals. It reads as help, and it sells by being the tool the account buyer comes back to |
| Success action | Run the check. For the marketer: paste the list, then follow the link to aged, checked accounts |
| Constraints | Not a long shadowban guide, not a Reddit marketing guide, not a karma-building tutorial, not an API page, not a collapsed FAQ, not a page about the site's other products. No passage tells a shadowbanned reader to make or buy a new account. Causes name vote manipulation as Reddit's filter sees it, as the ranking pages do, without elaborating |
Why this charter fits the SERP
Five of nine results are tools, and the tool that resolves the post-verdict questions outranks the tools that do not; a box plus a compact guide is what Google has learned satisfies this searcher. The threads show the two gaps the guide must close: confirming the verdict yourself and the look-alikes that are not a shadowban. The site's offer fits the searcher the two SaaS tools already court, the person running several accounts, and the bulk box and one short part serve them without turning the page into a pitch. Keeping the ban-evasion line intact is what keeps the ordinary reader's trust, and that reader is most of the traffic.

Section 1: The checker
- Job: give the verdict before anything else, the way every ranking tool does, and tell the reader in the result itself what each verdict means and what to do with it. Takes one username or a list, because the marketer and the moderator check many.
- Heading options: the H1 above; the box card titled "Check a Reddit account" or "Check one username, or paste a list".
- Build: H1, one intro line, then a card with a multi-line input (placeholder shows one username per line, with or without u/), a Check button, and a results panel below that lists each username with a status pill and one plain sentence. Under the panel, a small-print line on method and limits. No captcha unless abuse forces it; if one is used, keep it after the first check. No promo card here; the marketer's card sits in Section 7.
| # | Tail | Resolution | Coverage | Form | Words |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | reddit shadowban check | Run a check on a username and get the verdict | Intro line: enter any Reddit username and see in seconds whether the account is visible to other people, shadowbanned, or suspended; free, no login, works for your own account or anyone else's | line | 35 |
| 2 | check if reddit account is shadowbanned | Enter a username and learn whether it is visible, shadowbanned or suspended | The box and its label: paste the username, with or without u/, press Check; the result appears for each name | input + line | 25 |
| 3 | check multiple reddit accounts for shadowban | Check many usernames at once without a login or a token | Helper line under the input: one username per line to check a whole list at once; results come back per name | line | 20 |
| 4 | check if reddit account is shadowbanned without login | Know the check needs no login, password or API key | A line in the card: no login, no password, no API key; the checker reads only what any logged-out visitor can see | line | 20 |
| 5 | am i shadowbanned on reddit | A yes or no on the account, now, with what the answer means | The results panel's three verdicts, each with one sentence: Visible, the profile is returned to a logged-out visitor, the account is not shadowbanned (if posts still vanish, see the look-alikes below); Shadowbanned or not found, Reddit returns no public profile, which is what a shadowban looks like from outside; Suspended, Reddit flags the account as suspended, which is a different penalty with its own notice | panel text | 80 |
| 6 | why does the checker say shadowbanned or does not exist | Read a not-found result: check spelling; if you can log in, it is shadowbanned; otherwise deleted or never existed | The not-found verdict's extra sentence: a profile Reddit does not return is either shadowbanned, deleted, or a username that never existed; check the spelling, and if you can still log in to that account and post, it is shadowbanned | panel text | 45 |
Section 2: How the check works, and whether to trust it
- Job: give the reader who has seen tools disagree the method behind the verdict and its limits, so they trust this result and know when to confirm it by hand.
- Heading options: "How this shadowban checker works"; "What the checker tests, and what it cannot tell".
- Build: a short paragraph and a three-line list, under the card. Plain text, no cards.
| # | Tail | Resolution | Coverage | Form | Words |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 7 | how does reddit shadowban checker work | Understand that the tool reads the public profile as a logged-out visitor and what each response means | The checker asks Reddit for the username's public profile with no session, exactly as a logged-out visitor would; a returned profile means visible; no profile means hidden; a suspension flag means suspended. This is the same test as opening the profile in a private window, done for you and for a list at once | paragraph | 60 |
| 8 | is reddit shadowban checker safe | Know it is free, uses public data, stores nothing, and cannot affect the account checked | Free; reads only public data the way a browser does; no login or password ever asked for; usernames checked are not kept; because it only reads, checking a username does nothing to that account, your own or anyone else's | list lines | 45 |
| 9 | how accurate is reddit shadowban checker | Know the limit: not found can also mean deleted or never existed; status can change after the check | The verdict reflects the account at the moment of the check and Reddit can change it afterwards; a missing profile is the standard sign of a shadowban but also what a deleted or misspelled username looks like, so a positive result on an account you do not control is worth confirming with the owner or the appeals page | paragraph | 60 |
| 10 | reddit profile shows logged out but not in reddit search | Reddit's user search is not the test; the logged-out profile page is | One line: Reddit's own search box does not list every user, so a username missing from search means nothing; the profile page, viewed logged out, is the test that counts | line | 30 |
Section 3: Confirm it yourself
- Job: give the three manual checks the threads and the guide pages carry, with how to read each, so the reader can confirm a verdict without this or any tool, and can test a single post when the account is clean.
- Heading options: "How to check if you are shadowbanned on Reddit by hand"; "Three ways to confirm it without a tool".
- Build: a short lead line, then three numbered checks, each a short paragraph with its reading rule; then a separate short paragraph for a single post.
| # | Tail | Resolution | Coverage | Form | Words |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 11 | what does a shadowban on reddit look like | The signs from inside and outside | Lead: from inside, posts get no votes or replies and nobody answers messages; from outside, your profile is not found and your comments are missing or show as deleted in a thread. The signs suggest it; the checks below confirm it | paragraph | 45 |
| 12 | check reddit shadowban manually | Private window, reddit.com/user/username; not found while you can still log in means hidden | Check one: log out or open a private window and go to your profile address; if the page is not found while you can still log in and post, your account is hidden from everyone but you. The same test works through Google in a private window: search your username and see whether your profile and recent activity appear | steps paragraph | 70 |
| 13 | reddit appeals page shadowban check | Appeals page lets you file means shadowbanned or suspended; greyed out with a no-appeals notice means fine | Check two: open Reddit's appeals page while logged in. If it lets you file an appeal, Reddit has shadowbanned or suspended the account. If the form is greyed out with a notice that there is nothing to appeal, the account is in good standing, and that notice is the result you want | steps paragraph | 60 |
| 14 | how to tell if you are shadowbanned on reddit | A method to confirm a shadowban and the test that settles it | Check three: open the direct link to one of your recent comments in a private window; if it is missing from the thread or shows as deleted or removed while it looks normal when you are logged in, you are hidden. Closing line: when the three agree, so will this checker; if they disagree, the appeals page is Reddit's own answer | steps paragraph | 60 |
| 15 | how to tell if a reddit post is hidden | Open the post in a private window; missing there but fine logged in means the post is hidden even if the account is not | For a single post: a clean account does not mean every post is visible. Reddit can remove or filter one post silently, and it still loads for its author, so reading it proves nothing. Open the post's link in a private window, or look for it where it should sit in the subreddit; missing there but present when you are logged in means that post is held, not the account | paragraph | 70 |
Section 4: Shadowban, or something else?
- Job: define a shadowban and separate it from the four things that feel the same from inside, so the reader with symptoms knows which one they have and who can fix it. This is where the clean-but-posts-vanish reader and the new-account reader get their answer.
- Heading options: "What a Reddit shadowban is, and what it is not"; "Shadowban vs suspension vs subreddit ban: which one you have".
- Build: one definition paragraph, then a five-row table (what it is, who did it, how you can tell, who can fix it), then one closing line.
| # | Tail | Resolution | Coverage | Form | Words |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 16 | what is a reddit shadowban | A site-wide silent penalty: you can log in and post, nobody else sees it, no notice is sent | A shadowban comes from Reddit itself, mostly from its automatic anti-spam systems; the account looks normal to you, you can post, comment and vote, but your profile, posts and comments are invisible to every other user in every subreddit and to search engines, and Reddit sends no notice. It is built to catch spammers without telling them | paragraph | 65 |
| 17 | shadowban vs suspended reddit | A suspension is explicit with a notice; a shadowban is silent | Table row: a suspension is applied by Reddit on purpose, you are told, and the public profile shows a suspension notice; it can be temporary or permanent; the appeals page is the route | table row | 35 |
| 18 | shadowban vs subreddit ban | A subreddit ban is from moderators, one community, with a message | Table row: a subreddit ban comes from that community's moderators, usually with a message, and you can still post everywhere else; message the moderators to resolve it | table row | 30 |
| 19 | reddit post removed or shadowbanned | Tell an account shadowban from AutoMod removal, a spam filter on one post, a subreddit ban or a suspension; the difference is scope | Table rows: AutoMod removal, one subreddit's rules removed your post or comment, often for account age, low karma, a link or a keyword, and your activity elsewhere is fine; a moderator can approve it. Spam filter on one post, Reddit held one submission for review while the rest of your activity is visible; a moderator can release it. Closing line: if only one community swallows your content, it is almost never a shadowban; read that subreddit's rules or message its moderators | table rows + line | 90 |
| 20 | reddit karma restrictions new account not shadowbanned | A new account with little karma is held back by subreddit minimums; not a ban | Table row: new-account limits, many subreddits block posting or commenting until an account is a week or a month old or has some karma, and new accounts cannot start chats or follow people at first; nothing is banned, every new user goes through it, and posting in subreddits that welcome new users lifts it | table row | 55 |
Section 5: Why accounts get shadowbanned, and how to avoid it
- Job: name the behaviours Reddit's filter catches, so the shadowbanned reader understands what likely happened and the marketer knows what to change. The site's lean sits here in one honest line: fresh accounts posting links are the pattern the filter is built to catch.
- Heading options: "Why Reddit shadowbans accounts"; "What triggers a Reddit shadowban (and how to stay off the list)".
- Build: one lead line, a bulleted list of triggers, one line on VPNs, then a short avoidance paragraph.
| # | Tail | Resolution | Coverage | Form | Words |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 21 | why did i get shadowbanned on reddit | The behaviours the spam filter catches; new accounts most exposed | Lead and list: shadowbans are mostly automatic and hit behaviour that looks like spam even when the intent was fine: the same link or comment posted across many subreddits in a short time; an account that mostly posts its own links with little normal participation; vote manipulation, meaning asking for upvotes, voting with several accounts or joining upvote exchanges; URL shorteners that hide the destination; a new account made to get around a ban. Normal users with long histories get caught too, but a days-old account that starts by posting links matches the pattern most closely | paragraph + list | 110 |
| 22 | can a vpn get you shadowbanned on reddit | A VPN is allowed; an IP flagged for past abuse raises risk; a rule-following user is generally safe | One line: using a VPN is not against the rules, but a shared VPN address that spammers used before can raise the risk; it is the address's history, not the VPN, and a user following the rules is generally fine | line | 40 |
| 23 | how to avoid getting shadowbanned on reddit | Participate before promoting, vary links, full URLs, never ask for upvotes, keep own links a small share | Paragraph: behave like a member before you behave like a promoter; comment where you have nothing to sell; vary what you link and use full URLs; never ask for votes; keep your own links a small share of what you post; and give a new account time and ordinary activity before it carries anything promotional, which is why accounts with age and real history are the ones the filter leaves alone | paragraph | 75 |
Section 6: How long it lasts, and how to get it removed
- Job: resolve the largest follow-up cluster: duration, permanence, the appeal link, the steps, a sample, what to expect, and the one thing not to do.
- Heading options: "How long does a Reddit shadowban last?"; "How to get unshadowbanned on Reddit: the appeal".
- Build: a duration paragraph; an appeal subsection with the link line, three numbered steps, a short indented sample in a quote block, a what-to-expect line, and a bolded warning line.
| # | Tail | Resolution | Coverage | Form | Words |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 24 | how long does a reddit shadowban last | No set duration; stays until an appeal succeeds; reported unbans take months; mistakes restored, spam and evasion rarely | There is no countdown; a shadowban stays until an appeal succeeds or Reddit reviews the account, and people who report getting unbanned describe waits of months. Accounts flagged by mistake are usually restored after an appeal; accounts flagged for spam, vote manipulation or ban evasion rarely are | paragraph | 60 |
| 25 | is reddit shadowban permanent | It does not expire on its own; without an appeal it is permanent in effect; a successful appeal lifts it | A line inside the same paragraph: it does not expire on its own, so left alone it is permanent in effect, but it is not a final verdict, and an appeal is the way out | line | 30 |
| 26 | reddit shadowban appeal link | The address of Reddit's appeals page | The only official route is Reddit's appeals page at reddit.com/appeals, the same page that tells you whether you are shadowbanned at all | line | 25 |
| 27 | how to get unshadowbanned on reddit | Appeal: verified email, one short factual appeal, wait; do not open a new account | Steps: make sure the account's email is verified so Reddit can answer; submit one appeal with your username and a short, factual, polite explanation, admitting the likely cause if you know it or saying why you believe it was a mistake; then wait, because sending several appeals in a row looks like the spam that triggers flags. The admins are people, and a courteous note does better than an angry one | numbered steps | 85 |
| 28 | reddit shadowban appeal sample | Words that fit a short, polite, factual appeal | A short sample appeal in a quote block: a greeting, the username, that the account appears shadowbanned, what the writer believes triggered it (or that they cannot find a cause), that they have read the rules and will avoid it, and a thank-you; a line after it saying to change the details to the truth of your own account and keep it this short | quote block + line | 70 |
| 29 | what to do if shadowbanned on reddit | Appeal, and do not make a new account | What to expect and what not to do: an answer can take days or weeks and sometimes much longer, and Reddit does not always reply; keep the account logged in and leave it alone while you wait. Bolded: do not make a new account to post in the meantime; Reddit treats that as ban evasion, the new account usually ends up suspended too, and it can turn a mistake into a permanent site-wide ban | paragraph | 75 |
Section 7: Running or buying several accounts
- Job: serve the marketer, moderator and account buyer who check in batches, and place the site's offer where it is honest: accounts checked before they are used or bought. One short part, not a pitch.
- Heading options: "Checking several Reddit accounts at once"; "If you run or buy Reddit accounts".
- Build: one paragraph and a small card with a link to the site's accounts. The card is page furniture, not a passage.
| # | Tail | Resolution | Coverage | Form | Words |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 30 | check multiple reddit accounts for shadowban | Bulk check, reliable and fast, with the verdict split and no trace left | Paragraph: agencies, moderators and anyone posting from several accounts need this check on a schedule, not once; paste the whole list above and each name comes back as visible, shadowbanned or suspended; because the check only reads public pages it leaves nothing on the accounts. Run it before a campaign, after a promotional post flops, and before paying for any aged account, since a seller's screenshot is not a verdict and a hidden profile is | paragraph | 80 |
| 31 | none: provider cross-sell card | A card: the site's aged Reddit accounts and what the site does to each before listing (its checking practice, as the client confirms it), with a link to the accounts page; one line, no claims the client cannot stand behind | card | 25 |
Section 8: Close
- Job: the page's end, as a provider page carries one: a repeat of the primary action and the secondary one.
- Heading options: none; a small band.
- Build: a band with a "Check a username" button that scrolls to the box, and a text link for account buyers.
| # | Tail | Resolution | Coverage | Form | Words |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 32 | none: closing call to action | One line inviting the reader to run the check now, and one for people who post for a business to see the site's accounts | line + buttons | 20 |
Shape: the page follows the tool-with-a-guide lane exactly as redship.io shapes it: box first, then what the verdict means, how to check by hand, the look-alikes, the causes, the duration and the appeal. It takes from banchecker.org the one-username-per-line box and the visible trust answers (free, safe, accurate, VPN) and puts them in body text rather than a FAQ. It takes from redditapis.com the honest reading of a not-found result and the single-post test. From the community lane it takes the appeals-page check and what a clean appeals page looks like, the Google-in-incognito check, the Reddit-search confusion, the karma false alarm and the lived unban timelines, because those are what the threads rank for and no tool page carries them.
Order: the verdict comes first because that is the search. Trust in the verdict comes next, because the reader who has seen tools disagree will not read on without it. The manual checks follow so the reader can confirm it. The look-alikes come before causes and appeal because a reader whose problem is low karma or one subreddit should leave the shadowban track before being told how to appeal. Causes come before the appeal because the appeal asks the reader to name the likely cause. The multi-account part sits last because it is for a minority of readers and because the site's offer belongs after the help, not before it.
Length: about one thousand three hundred words of passages, plus the box, the card and the close. redship.io and banchecker.org carry roughly that in their bodies; redditapis.com carries more and spends it on its API; ayra.ch and redditgrow.ai carry almost nothing.
Off the page:
- reddit new account restrictions karma (adjacent): the full new-user guide (which subs to start in, how to build karma) is its own head; the look-alikes table carries the one line a shadowban searcher needs.
- reddit shadowban guide (adjacent): a long educational guide is a separate page; this page is the tool with the parts of the guide its searchers need.
- promote on reddit without getting banned (adjacent): a marketing head; the avoid passage carries the shadowban-relevant rules only.
- reddit account analyzer, reddit account checker (adjacent): a broader account tool (karma, age, status) and a natural sibling page on this site.
- reddit shadowban checker api (adjacent): developers automating checks; not this site's product.
- reddit post visibility check undecidable (excluded): one vendor's API label; no concept behind it.
- reddit brand monitoring, reddit lead generation tool (excluded): redship's and redditapis's products.
- ban checker tools (excluded): other platforms.
- reddit shadowban checker by kevin gut, banchecker.org (excluded): other sites' names.
