Part 1Executive Summary
The results page is Reddit talking to itself. Eight of eighteen organic results are Reddit threads, wikis and the official help article, and the AI overview is stitched from them. Those pages win because they hold the one thing searchers want first: a place to actually see their tier (r/WhatIsMyCQS at #1) and plain answers from people who know the system. They lose on everything after that: every thread is a question with a hedged reply, and the official help article names the tiers without saying which end is bad.
The gap is a page that resolves the whole sequence a CQS searcher goes through, in order: what it is, what tier I am, is it CQS that's blocking me, what moved the score, what I do now, and how long it takes. No ranking page does all five; the guides that come closest (seotwix, reppit) are padded with brand framing or product pitch. The page we build is shorter than the guides it competes with, denser in resolutions, and handles the one objection a Reddit-account seller must handle (can you buy your way to a good CQS) as a salesman would: honestly, and in a way that leads back to the offer.
Part 2SERP & Lane Analysis
The SERP is mixed but one-sided in strength. Reddit's own surfaces hold the top five and most of page two: a check-your-score subreddit, help-and-newcomer threads, the official moderator help article and the r/modnews launch post. Around them sit five commercial guides, one free checker tool, and two forums (Hacker News, BlackHatWorld). The AI overview at the top answers "what is it, how does it work, how do I improve it" in a few bullets and then offers to diagnose a posting problem, which is the clearest statement of intent on the page: searchers arrive with a blocked post and a word they don't understand.
Google is not rewarding one page type. It is filling parts: a place to check (Reddit, upvote.sh), definitions (help article, r/help thread), lived experience of being stuck low (r/ModSupport, r/NewToReddit), and how-to guides (seotwix, postpone, reppit, redaccs). The variety is the gap.
Lane Distribution
| Lane | Count | Typical Positions | Representative Competitors | What this lane is doing for the searcher |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Reddit community threads and wikis (educational, Q&A) | 7 | 2, 4, 5, 8, 12, 13, 15 | r/help, r/NewToReddit threads and wiki, r/ModSupport, r/ShadowBan wiki | Peer answers: what CQS is, which end is bad, why I'm stuck low, where to check |
| Check-your-score tools (provider: do) | 2 | 1, 6 | r/WhatIsMyCQS, upvote.sh CQS checker | Shows the searcher their tier (or promises to) |
| Official Reddit documentation (educational, reference) | 2 | 3, 10 | support.reddithelp.com, r/modnews launch post | Defines CQS, lists tiers, shows moderators how to use it in AutoMod |
| Marketer CQS guides on tool/service sites (educational page, provider site) | 5 | 7, 9, 11, 14, 18 | seotwix, postpone, keymentions, redaccs, reppit | Explain, check, improve, for people using Reddit to promote something |
| Forum discussions (educational) | 2 | 16, 17 | Hacker News, BlackHatWorld | Finding the score, whether other users' scores can be read, test results |
The page's lane: the marketer CQS guide on a provider site. The site sells Reddit accounts and engagement; its readers are the people reppit, seotwix and redaccs write for, and the page's type is given as educational. It sits in that lane because that lane is the only one that can carry the whole sequence (define, check, diagnose, improve) in one page, and because the SERP already accepts commercial sites in it from rank 7 down.

What this means for the page
The dominant lane by strength is Reddit itself, and nothing we build outranks r/WhatIsMyCQS for "what is my CQS." The lane we can win is the guide lane, where every page is weak in the same way: each resolves two or three of the five things a searcher needs and spends the rest on itself. The guides are the only pages that can hold the whole sequence, so the page that holds it, densely, is the best page in the set.
What to borrow from other lanes: the diagnostic framing from the community threads (the AI overview's own closing offer is "tell me the error and I'll say whether it's CQS"), the plain tier-direction line from r/NewToReddit, the bot-reply and private-message details from Hacker News and redaccs, and the multi-account reality from BlackHatWorld. What not to borrow: history (postpone), AutoMod YAML (help article, r/modnews), SEO-and-LLM framing (seotwix), and bypass pitches (keymentions).
Part 3Head Keyword & Tail Keyword Clusters
Head term
- Head: reddit cqs
- Dominant lane: marketer CQS guide on a provider site, under a SERP owned by Reddit's own threads. The guide has to out-resolve the threads, not out-rank the subreddit.
- SERP intent shape: educational-dominant. Two tool results, no product pages; the searcher wants to know and then to fix.
The head family
- reddit contributor quality score: the full name; the exact thing, in Reddit's own words. Alias.
- contributor quality score reddit: same name, reordered as searchers type it. Alias.
- cqs reddit: the head reversed. Alias.
- reddit cqs score / cqs score reddit: the acronym with "score" repeated, as people write it. Alias.
- reddit cqs meaning: research called this an alias. It is not another name for the thing; it is the question "what does it mean", a tail resolved by the definition passage. Moved to the tails.
The head's searcher intent
The person typing "reddit cqs" has just met the word. A post vanished, a comment showed "Removed by Reddit's filters," a mod reply or sub rule said "CQS too low," or someone told them to "check your CQS." They are on Reddit, usually on a phone, mid-task, and the word means nothing yet. The first thing they need is the definition in one breath and the direction of the scale (Lowest is bad), because the official article does not say so. The second is their own tier, which means the steps for r/WhatIsMyCQS and what the bot's reply looks like. The third is whether CQS is actually the thing blocking them, since karma gates, account-age rules, shadowbans and per-sub rules all look the same from the outside.
Behind them is a second searcher who already knows all that: the verified, karma-rich account that is still Low, and the person who runs accounts for promotion (a creator, a brand, someone working with purchased or aged accounts) and needs them to pass sub filters. They want what moves the score, what quietly tanks it (links in a bio, a VPN, three posts a day, deleting comments), a plan with an order, and how long it takes. Both searchers want the answer without Reddit's hedging and without a product pitch between them and it.
Where the search ends: they do not come for the AutoMod YAML a moderator pastes into a config, for CQS's history and pilot statistics, for how to be a good Redditor in general, or for a tool that lets them post without a Reddit account at all. Those belong to the moderator's head, the new-to-Reddit head and the Reddit-marketing-tool head, close by but not this one.

Part 4The Centroid Pattern
Pattern summary
The strongest pages on this SERP are the ones that let the searcher do the next thing: see their tier (r/WhatIsMyCQS), read the definition from someone who knows (r/help, the help article), or get a plan with an order (reppit, redaccs). What they have in common is directness. The reply that ranks in r/NewToReddit says "Lowest is the bad one" in its first line and then lists the signals; the guides that rank highest in the guide lane put the tier list and the signal categories up front.
What makes the pattern strong is the sequence. A CQS searcher moves through five states in order (what is it, what am I, is this what's blocking me, what moved it, what do I do and for how long), and the pages that rank each carry two or three of those states. The page that carries all five, each at the depth the ranking pages give it, is closest to the whole and is the page the set lacks.
Lane contribution to the winning pattern
The community lane contributes the voice and the diagnostics: hedged honesty ("Reddit is opaque, but"), the reputation-filter explanation, the VPN-off test, and the stuck-low cases. The official lane contributes the definition and the three signal categories, which every guide quotes. The tool lane contributes the expectation that checking is quick and safe. The guide lane contributes structure: tiers with meanings, signals, a plan, timelines, a short FAQ. The page we build takes the guide structure and fills it with the community lane's directness.
Pattern variance
Two approaches work: the pure explainer (help article, keymentions) and the action guide (reppit, redaccs). The explainers rank on being official or early; the action guides rank on resolving more. Between them, the hybrid (seotwix, postpone) ranks highest of the commercial pages. The page should follow the hybrid closely and lean toward action, since the AI overview already gives the explainer in four bullets.
What's notably absent
No top page tells the reader how to know whether CQS is their problem. No page gives a realistic timeline by tier (reppit comes closest, and contradicts itself). No page says what a purchased or aged account carries. No page lays out the per-account routine for someone running several. AutoMod code and history appear only on the official and the longest pages.
Direct same-lane breakdown
| Competitor | Rank | Pattern notes |
|---|---|---|
| seotwix.com | 7 | Definition, tiers with meanings, three signal pillars, karma table, AutoMod barrier, improve, check, removals, FAQ. The SEO-and-LLM section and the brand framing are the fat |
| postpone.app | 9 | Definition, history, seven signal bullets, why it matters, nine improve tips, check with caveats, creator strategy, three product blocks. Strongest signals, weakest ratio of resolution to words |
| keymentions.com | 11 | Explainer with a bypass pitch. Short, dated, a YouTuber's formula as its only improve content |
| redaccs.com | 14 | Check button, TL;DR, tiers graphic, check steps with the bot reply, tier meanings, day-by-day plan, trigger list, seven generic marketing tips. The plan and trigger list are the asset; the marketing section resolves little |
| reppit.ai | 18 | Nine methods ranked, numbers per step, a result box, priority order, FAQ. No definition, product woven in |
Part 5Reader Situations
The newcomer who met the word in a removal
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Evidence | r/help #2, r/NewToReddit #4 and #13, the help article #3, the AI overview's definition; tails "what is reddit cqs", "which is bad" |
| Why this is a distinct situation | They have nothing yet; a definition, the tier names and the direction of the scale resolve them. Everything after is noise to them until they have that |
| What this reader is trying to resolve | What CQS is, whether Low is bad, whether it is the same as karma, and whether it is a punishment or a default |
Knowledge level: none. Urgency: moderate; they want to post.
The person who wants their tier now, or has one and can't read it
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Evidence | r/WhatIsMyCQS at #1, upvote.sh #6, related searches "check", "what is my CQS", "lowest", "highest", "moderate"; perspectives "What's my Cqs?" |
| Why this is a distinct situation | A doing task, not a knowing one; the resolution is steps and a reading of the result, often on a phone |
| What this reader is trying to resolve | Exactly where to post, what to type, what the reply looks like, whether checking is safe, whether Moderate is good enough, whether a third-party checker is real |
Urgency: high.
The blocked user asking "is it CQS?"
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Evidence | r/help #2 (follow block), perspectives "Cant post anywhere because of low cqs or karma?", r/ModSupport #5 (real human caught by the filter), the AI overview's closing diagnostic offer; tails on the reputation filter and "does low cqs mean banned" |
| Why this is a distinct situation | They may not have a CQS problem at all; karma gates, age rules, shadowbans and rate limits look identical. The resolution is a way to tell them apart and the next move |
| What this reader is trying to resolve | Which block they have, what to do right now, and what not to do (repost, delete) |
Urgency: highest; mid-task.
The verified, karma-rich account still Low
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Evidence | r/NewToReddit #8 (2FA, email, high karma, still Low), #13's comment (a year old, high karma, Lowest), r/ModSupport #5 (downvotes, VPN, years-old account), BHW #17's test results (old inactive account came back Lowest) |
| Why this is a distinct situation | They have done the generic advice. Only the less obvious signals and a realistic timeline resolve them |
| What this reader is trying to resolve | Why karma didn't fix it, which hidden trigger applies to them, and how long recovery takes |
Top objection: "I did everything and it dropped." Knowledge level: high.
The person running accounts for promotion
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Evidence | seotwix #7, postpone #9, redaccs #14 and reppit #18 all write for marketers; BHW #17 asks about checking a list of accounts; the site sells accounts and engagement |
| Why this is a distinct situation | They need the score on several accounts, before they promote, against specific subs' thresholds; and they carry the objection "can I just buy a good one" |
| What this reader is trying to resolve | A per-account routine, triggers to avoid in the first weeks, how to warm an account up before promotion, what an aged or purchased account carries, whether alts and shared setups are risky |
Alternatives weighed: warming their own accounts, buying aged ones, bypass tools. The moderator deciding on a threshold (situation 6 in the research) is served by the "what CQS does" passage and otherwise belongs to the moderator's head; no section is built for them.
Part 6Page Charter
| Field | Detail |
|---|---|
| Target lane | Marketer CQS guide on a provider site: the lane of seotwix, postpone, redaccs and reppit, built to out-resolve all four |
| The site | A provider site selling Reddit accounts and engagement. Its authority is practical: it knows what happens to accounts in their first days and weeks, which triggers filter them, and what an aged account carries. That knowledge is the page's edge over tool-company guides. It also sets the lean: negatives are handled as objections, buying is framed honestly and in the site's favour, and bypass tools are not recommended |
| Intent profile | Primary: understand CQS and check my tier. Secondary: diagnose a block and raise the score, including on accounts used for promotion |
| Page job | Take a reader from "a word I don't know" to "I know my tier, I know whether it's the problem, and I know what to do this week" in one read |
| Positioning frame | The plain-spoken guide from people who manage Reddit accounts for a living: direct where Reddit hedges, honest about what is unknown, and never a pitch until the reader has what they came for |
| Success action | Check their tier via the steps, then start the plan; for the promotional reader, consider the site's aged, verified accounts as the starting point the plan assumes |
| Constraints | Not a moderator manual (no AutoMod code), not a history of CQS, not a general how-to-Reddit guide, not a bypass pitch, not a longer page than seotwix. No claim that a purchased account comes with a guaranteed tier |
Why this charter fits the SERP
The SERP rewards direct answers and penalises self-interest: the two commercial pages that lead with a product (keymentions, upvote.sh's thin explainer) sit below the guides that lead with resolution. A page whose first two-thirds resolve the newcomer, the checker and the blocked user earns the trust the last third needs, where the promotional reader and the site's offer meet. Handling "can you buy CQS" inside the page, truthfully, is stronger than avoiding it: the objection is on the SERP (seotwix's FAQ) and in the reader's head.

Section 1: Opening
- Job: Give the newcomer the whole answer in a breath and the rest of the page a reason to be read. Definition, direction of the scale, what a low tier costs, and the karma distinction, before any detail.
- Heading options: none (H1 and lead); a short table of contents follows, as seotwix and postpone carry.
- Build: Lead paragraph under the H1, a second short paragraph, a one-line karma contrast, then a jump-link table of contents to the sections below. No image. No CTA.
| # | Tail | Resolution | Coverage | Form | Words |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1.1 | what is reddit cqs | A plain definition: a hidden, site-wide, five-tier rating Reddit assigns every account to estimate spam likelihood, enforced by subreddits | What the acronym stands for; that Reddit assigns it to every account, keeps it hidden, and uses it to guess whether an account is a spammer; that it has five tiers from Lowest to Highest, that Lowest is the bad end, and that subreddits use it to filter. Also carries "reddit cqs meaning", "what is cqs reddit/on reddit", "what is reddit contributor quality score", "reddit cqs tiers" | Paragraph | 90 |
| 1.2 | why does reddit cqs matter | What a low tier costs: filtered posts, collapsed comments, chat limits | The concrete things a low tier does to the reader: posts filtered or removed on submission in subs that set a threshold, comments held for approval or collapsed, chat and invite limits; and that a good tier removes those frictions. Also carries "what does reddit cqs affect" | Paragraph | 70 |
| 1.3 | cqs vs karma reddit | Karma is public votes; CQS is hidden trust; high karma can sit with a Low CQS | That karma is the visible vote count and CQS is a separate trust rating; that an account with plenty of karma can still be Low, which is why karma advice alone fails | Line | 45 |
| — | none: table of contents | Jump links to each section below | List | — |
Section 2: What CQS is and how it works
- Job: Resolve the newcomer fully and set up the vocabulary the diagnostic and the plan use: where the score came from, what each tier means for posts, where it is enforced, and that it moves.
- Heading options: "What the Contributor Quality Score is and how Reddit uses it" / "How Reddit CQS works" / "The five CQS tiers and what each one means"
- Build: One paragraph, then a five-row tier table (tier; what typically happens to your posts and comments; who usually sits here), a line under it on new accounts, a paragraph on enforcement, a closing line on updates. An image of the tier ladder may sit beside the table as decoration; the table carries the words.
| # | Tail | Resolution | Coverage | Form | Words |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2.1 | why did reddit introduce cqs | Built to catch spammers that karma and age checks miss | That Reddit built it to replace blunt karma and account-age gates with a judgement of the account itself; that the formula is not published, by design, and that Reddit names three categories it draws on (past actions on the account, network and location, account security). Also carries "how does reddit cqs work", "how is reddit cqs calculated" and its long form, "reddit cqs signals" | Paragraph | 85 |
| 2.2 | reddit cqs levels | The five levels, their order, and what each means for your posts | Each tier in ascending order with what usually happens at it: Lowest, where most threshold subs remove on submission and the reputation filter catches most of it; Low, where posts are often held for manual approval; Moderate, the baseline most subs let through; High, trusted and rarely filtered; Highest, almost never filtered. With a note that the official article lists the names without saying which end is bad, and that the answer is Lowest. Also carries "what does each reddit cqs level mean", "which is bad", "reddit cqs lowest/highest/moderate", "what is a good cqs", "levels lowest to highest", "levels highest high moderate low lowest", "support docs explanation" | Table | 140 |
| 2.3 | what cqs do new reddit accounts start with | New accounts start Low or Lowest; it is a default, not a penalty | That a brand-new account starts at the bottom until it has history, so a Low result on a fresh account is the normal starting point | Line | 35 |
| 2.4 | what does cqs do on reddit | Where it is enforced: AutoMod thresholds, reputation filter, chat and invite limits | That each subreddit's mods can set a minimum tier in AutoMod and anything below it is filtered or removed; that Reddit's own reputation filter, which produces "Removed by Reddit's filters," is driven mainly by CQS and can be switched on by mods at different strictness; that chat, invites and some DM abilities are limited for accounts that are not established; that the score is one score across all of Reddit while thresholds differ per sub; and that large subs use it, so any big sub may. Also carries "moderators automod", "reddit automod cqs filter", "reddit reputation filter cqs", "removed by reddit's filters", "is reddit cqs global or per subreddit", "subreddits using reddit cqs" | Paragraph | 120 |
| 2.5 | can reddit cqs change | Yes, updated regularly, moves both ways | That the tier is recomputed often and can rise or fall with behaviour; that it can swing between checks, so a reading is a snapshot and a day between checks is enough to see movement. Also carries "how often does reddit cqs update", "reddit cqs changes often" | Line | 45 |
Section 3: How to check your CQS
- Job: The doing task. Exact steps, what the reply looks like, what to do when it doesn't come, that it is safe, what third-party checkers can and can't do, and the honest answer for people with several accounts.
- Heading options: "How to check your Reddit CQS" / "Check your CQS score in r/WhatIsMyCQS" / "What is my CQS? How to find out"
- Build: Numbered steps, a short paragraph on the reply, two short paragraphs, a bulleted per-account routine. A screenshot of the bot's reply may accompany the steps; the steps describe it in words. A small link box to the subreddit is build, not a passage.
| # | Tail | Resolution | Coverage | Form | Words |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3.1 | how to check my reddit cqs | Post in r/WhatIsMyCQS, wait for the bot's reply with the tier | The steps: log in to the account you want tested, open the subreddit, make a new post with the trigger word its rules ask for in the title, submit, and read the AutoModerator reply that names your tier; that it works the same on mobile; that the reply usually comes within minutes. Also carries "reddit cqs check", "how to check cqs", "what is my cqs", "check my reddit cqs", "find your reddit cqs" | Steps | 120 |
| 3.2 | where does the r/cqs bot reply with my cqs | As a comment under the post in r/WhatIsMyCQS; by private message in r/cqs | That in r/WhatIsMyCQS the tier comes as a comment on your post; that the older r/cqs sent it by private message, which is why posts there look unanswered; and if nothing arrives, to check messages, confirm the trigger word from the sub's rules, and try again later. Also carries "r/cqs bot not replying" | Paragraph | 65 |
| 3.3 | can you see your cqs on reddit | Not in profile or settings; Reddit has no plans to show it; checking via the subreddit is safe | That there is no setting or profile field for it and an admin has said there are no plans to add one; that the subreddit check is a community AutoMod rule reading the real value, carries no penalty, and can be run as often as you like | Paragraph | 60 |
| 3.4 | reddit cqs checker | Third-party checkers only estimate; the subreddit reads the real tier | That username-input checkers on outside sites cannot read the score and can only infer from public activity, so their result is a guess; the subreddit reply is the only true reading | Line | 45 |
| 3.5 | how to check reddit cqs for other users | You can't; only the logged-in account can be tested; run the check from each account | That no one can read another account's tier, that there is no API or bot access for it, and that the routine for several accounts is to log into each, run the check, and keep a log with the date, re-checking after any change of setup or behaviour. Also carries "can reddit cqs be accessed via api or bots" | List | 80 |
Section 4: Is CQS what's blocking you?
- Job: The blocked user's urgent question, which no ranking page answers: tell the four blocks apart, say what to do now and what not to do.
- Heading options: "Is a low CQS why your posts are being removed?" / "CQS, karma gates, shadowbans: which one is blocking you" / "What to do when your CQS is too low to post"
- Build: A four-row comparison table (what you see; what it usually is; how to confirm), a line on follow and DM limits, then a short do/don't list.
| # | Tail | Resolution | Coverage | Form | Words |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4.1 | reddit cqs automod filter blocking real users | Real users get caught; how to tell CQS filtering from other blocks and what to do | That the CQS filter does catch real people; and the tells of each block: a removal message naming CQS or "Removed by Reddit's filters" in some subs but not others points to CQS; a message naming karma or account age is a per-sub gate the score doesn't change; content invisible everywhere when logged out, with no message, is a shadowban; a removal citing a rule is the rule. That a low tier is not a ban: you can still browse, vote and post where thresholds are lower. Also carries "does low cqs mean banned reddit" | Table | 150 |
| 4.2 | does cqs affect following on reddit | A follow block after mass-following is a rate limit, not CQS; DM and chat limits can be | That being unable to follow after following many accounts quickly is a temporary rate limit that lifts by itself, while chat and DM restrictions on a new or low-tier account are the kind CQS feeds | Line | 45 |
| 4.3 | do post removals lower reddit cqs | Yes, and they compound; what to do after one | That each removal is a signal and repeated ones stack; so don't repost the same thing into subs that filtered it, don't mass-delete history, don't argue in comments; do message the mods politely asking which rule, and move your activity to subs that accept your tier while you rebuild | List | 85 |
Section 5: What moves the score
- Job: The signals, organised by what the reader can act on, including the quiet triggers that explain the stuck-low case. This is the heart of the page for situations 4 and 5.
- Heading options: "What raises and lowers your Reddit CQS" / "The signals behind the Contributor Quality Score" / "What affects CQS (and what quietly tanks it)"
- Build: Four short subheaded blocks (security; past actions; network; behaviour), a two-column "quiet triggers" table, and two lines. No image.
| # | Tail | Resolution | Coverage | Form | Words |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5.1 | what affects reddit cqs | Which actions raise or lower it | A framing line that nothing is published but the three categories plus observed behaviour explain most movement; then security: that a verified email lifts an unverified account out of the bottom tier, that a phone number adds trust, that two-factor adds little by itself, and that all three together are the floor, not the fix. Also carries "does verifying email and phone improve reddit cqs", "does email verification affect reddit cqs", "does 2fa improve reddit cqs" | Paragraph | 110 |
| 5.2 | what hurts reddit cqs | The actions that lower it | Past actions: that removals by mods or Reddit, subreddit bans, site-wide suspensions and reports lower it, bans heavily; that comments which draw heavy downvotes repeatedly count against it; and that the score reads what happens to your content, not your opinions as such, so a contentious view that stays up costs nothing while one that gets removed or reported does. Also carries "what lowers reddit cqs", "does reddit cqs consider what you post" | Paragraph | 90 |
| 5.3 | does vpn affect reddit cqs | Network and location signals count; shared or flagged IPs hurt | That logging in from an IP shared with spam accounts, a rotating or public VPN, or several accounts on one IP and browser drags the score; that travel and VPN hops have coincided with sudden visibility drops; and the test: switch the VPN off, use a home or mobile connection, recheck after a day. Also carries "reddit cqs vpn travel reduced visibility" | Paragraph | 75 |
| 5.4 | does commenting improve reddit cqs | Comments on others' threads are the strongest lift | Behaviour: that substantive comments on other people's threads that get upvotes and replies are the strongest positive signal; that received upvotes count relative to the sub's size, so a modest score in a mid-size sub is worth more than a weak one in a huge sub; that upvotes you give do nothing and mass upvoting looks automated; that bursts of posts in a short span and many posts a day hurt; that one well-received post beats many; and that living in one sub looks like a bot and puts the whole score at the mercy of one ban. Also carries "does commenting increase cqs", "how do upvotes affect reddit cqs", "do upvotes you give improve reddit cqs", "quality vs quantity posts reddit cqs", "does posting in one subreddit hurt cqs" | Paragraph | 130 |
| 5.5 | does adding a website link to reddit profile lower cqs | A bio link on a new account can drop it to the bottom; wait | The quiet triggers as a table: a link or emoji in the bio of a young account; marking the profile NSFW early; deleting comments or posts rapidly; crossposting the same thing across subs; every post carrying an outside link to one domain; and for each, what to do instead and how long to wait before it is safe | Table | 85 |
| 5.6 | do reddit dms affect cqs | Genuine conversations help; mass DMs destroy | That back-and-forth DMs that grow out of thread replies count positively, while cold outreach in volume or automated messaging is one of the fastest ways to the bottom. Also carries "do reddit dms improve cqs" | Line | 45 |
| 5.7 | do alt accounts lower reddit cqs | Policy-compliant alts don't; shared IP or browser across accounts does | That Reddit has said alts used within the rules do not lower each other's score, that alts used to evade a ban do, and that the practical risk is the setup: several accounts on one IP, device or browser fingerprint look like one operator | Line | 50 |
Section 6: How to raise it
- Job: The plan, in order, with cadence, with the timeline, and with the stuck-low reader's causes and fixes. Depth follows reppit and redaccs, the two pages that give an order.
- Heading options: "How to increase your Reddit CQS, step by step" / "A plan to raise CQS from Low to High" / "Why your CQS is stuck on Low and how to fix it"
- Build: An ordered plan in three phases (setup; first week; second week on), each a short list; a line on where to comment; a line on own-post comments; a timeline table (from; to; typical time; what it takes); a cause-and-fix table for stuck accounts.
| # | Tail | Resolution | Coverage | Form | Words |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 6.1 | how to improve reddit cqs | An ordered plan: secure, comment, then post, at a cadence | Phase one: verify email, add a phone, enable two-factor, plain username, empty bio, a clean home or mobile connection, no VPN, then browse before doing anything. Phase two: comments only, a set number a day, written yourself in a few sentences, across a handful of mid-size subs sorted by New or Rising, no links, no deletions. Phase three: posts at a spaced interval with several comments for each post, still no links, recheck the tier. Also carries "how to increase reddit cqs", "how to increase cqs on reddit", "how to increase cqs reddit", "how to build reddit cqs", "how to improve low cqs reddit", "fastest way to raise reddit cqs" | Steps | 170 |
| 6.2 | how many subreddits to post in for reddit cqs | A handful of mid-size subs; comment before posting | How many subs to spread across and what size to prefer, with the reason; and where a Low account can start: the big general-conversation and question subs that have little or no karma gate on comments, and the newcomer subreddit's own list. Also carries "subreddits for new users to build karma" | Paragraph | 70 |
| 6.3 | should i comment on my own posts reddit cqs | Replies to your commenters are fine; they weigh less | That replying to people on your own post is fine and polite but counts far less than comments on others' threads, so most of the daily count goes elsewhere | Line | 35 |
| 6.4 | how long to improve reddit cqs | Days from Low to High with real comments; weeks to hold High; months for Highest | A table of typical movement: unverified to verified lifts the floor at once; Low to Moderate within days of real commenting; Moderate to High within a week or two of consistent activity; holding High takes weeks of steadiness; Highest takes months and a clean record; with the note that bursts don't shorten it and removals reset it. Also carries "how long to improve cqs reddit", "how fast can you improve reddit cqs", "how fast can reddit cqs go from low to high" | Table | 85 |
| 6.5 | why is my reddit cqs stuck on low or lowest | The causes karma doesn't fix: a past ban, downvote ratio, inactivity, network, links, deletions | For the verified, karma-rich account still Low: each likely cause and its fix: a subreddit ban in the last months (wait it out, rebuild elsewhere); a run of heavily downvoted comments (stop the topic, comment where you're welcome); an old account that rarely posts, which tests as Lowest while daily-used accounts test High, so age alone does nothing (resume commenting); a network signal (VPN off, recheck); a bio link or early NSFW (remove, wait); recent deletions (stop). That it is recoverable: the tier is recomputed often and the same behaviours that build it rebuild it. Also carries "can you fix a low cqs on reddit", "reddit cqs test results" | Table | 150 |
Section 7: CQS for accounts you use to promote
- Job: Speak to the site's reader directly: warm-up before promotion, thresholds, and the buying objection, handled as a salesman handles it.
- Heading options: "CQS for brand, creator and marketing accounts" / "Using Reddit to promote: get your CQS right first" / "Can you buy a good CQS?"
- Build: One paragraph, then a short paragraph that answers the buying question and closes with the site's aged-account offer named in one sentence and a link. One CTA button after it.
| # | Tail | Resolution | Coverage | Form | Words |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 7.1 | why reddit cqs matters for brands | A promotional account below the threshold is invisible; warm it up first | That a promotional account below a sub's threshold has every post removed before anyone sees it and each removal lowers it further, so the plan above comes before the first promotional post; that the target subs' thresholds can be found by testing a post from an account of known tier; that each promotional post should sit among several real comments elsewhere; and that burner accounts for one-off pushes start at the bottom and get filtered, so a few accounts grown and kept is the working model. Also carries "reddit cqs for marketers and brands" | Paragraph | 115 |
| 7.2 | can you buy cqs reddit | The score itself isn't for sale; an account carries the CQS its history earned | That no one sells the score, because Reddit assigns it from the account's own history and setup; that what can be bought is an account that already has that history: aged, verified, with real activity, so the first-days triggers are behind it; that such an account still has to be used on a clean connection and kept to the plan, or it slides like any other; and that bought karma or votes on a weak account do the opposite, flagging it. The site's aged, verified accounts are named here as the starting point the plan assumes | Paragraph | 95 |
| — | none: offer link and CTA | A single button to the site's account listings; a line of text under it saying what the accounts come with (verification, age, activity history), with no tier promised | Button | — |
Section 8: Close
- Job: The structural close every guide in the lane carries: the sequence in three lines, and the reader's next step.
- Heading options: "Check it, then build it" / "Where to start"
- Build: One short paragraph. No new facts; no second CTA.
| # | Tail | Resolution | Coverage | Form | Words |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| — | none: close | Check the tier, fix the setup, comment before posting, recheck in a week | Paragraph | 55 |
Shape: The page follows the guide lane's shape (what, tiers, signals, how to improve, how to check, FAQ) but reorders check ahead of signals, because the SERP's #1 result and three of eight related searches are the check, and the diagnostic step between check and signals is borrowed from the community lane, where the blocked user's question lives. From the forum lane it takes the multi-account routine and the test-results evidence; from the official lane only the definition and signal categories.
Order: Definition before tiers, because the tiers mean nothing without the direction. Check before diagnosis, because the reader can't diagnose without a tier. Diagnosis before signals, because a reader with a karma gate needs no signal section. Signals before the plan, because the plan is the signals in sequence. Stuck-low last in the plan, because it assumes the plan was tried. Promotion and the offer last, after the reader has everything they came for.
Length: About 2,500 words of passages plus headings and the table of contents, against seotwix at roughly 2,500, postpone over 3,000, reppit around 2,500 and redaccs around 2,000. Same length as the best, with the brand and history space spent on diagnosis and the stuck-low table instead.
Off the page:
- reddit tips for new users: belongs to the new-to-Reddit head; general etiquette isn't what a CQS searcher came for.
- does reddit cqs work, how to use cqs in automod: the moderator's head; pilot statistics and YAML serve someone configuring a sub, and the help article and r/modnews already own them.
- how to bypass reddit cqs: a different head (post-without-an-account tools) and against the site's interest; keymentions ranks lowest of the guides carrying it.
- reddit cqs hidden social credit score: venting; no resolution to give.
- reddit terms posts comments upvotes mods: vocabulary for a far head.
- reddit cqs automoderator message: a screenshot; the reply's form is in 3.1 and 3.2.
- buy reddit upvotes: the ranking sites' own offers; ours is structural, not a tail.
- reddit cqs faq, reddit cqs questions: page furniture; the questions are answered in the body.
- reddit cqs: the head itself, mislabelled on noise passages.
